Brinda Rao has been involved in providing resource support and capacity enhancement programmes for teachers of Government and Municipal schools. She creates contextual learning resources and provides support for continuous professional development of teachers. One major focus has been to help teachers appreciate the role of literature in language learning in all the schools that she is involved with, through the setting up of classroom libraries and conducting activities to encourage students to read for meaning and enjoyment.
